Thank you! Good to know the A/S4 is softer - do you find your current setup rides acceptably now? At this point, if I get an E63 wanting to try as a first step before moving to 19s either getting DWS06+ in factory size 265/35/20 & 295/30/20 as I've heard it's a pretty soft tire, or getting an A/S4 in an upsized aspect ratio 255/40/20 & 285/35/20 (conti's not available in this size) to get more sidewall, though have heard the DWS06+ is softer than the A/S4 even

Hey bobblehead, was browsing some of the winter tire threads and saw you had the factory 19s on your E63. Did you find that there was a significant increase in comfort going from 20s to 19s? I'm looking into getting an E63. I live in CA and the roads aren't bad, but for a daily I really want to soften the ride if possible, and getting 19s is an option

I bought my car. I hate leasing (mainly due to interest rate being so high). I did not get any extra protection plans at all. I did huper optik window tint and xpel ppf aftermarket once I took delivery, that was another $2700 all included

As for freight/pdi and dealer admin fees and ac tax ... I paid $2895 + $395 + $100 = $3390 and nothing more, except license admin fee of another $30 on delivery.

My Sales Advisor threw in wheel locks and digital floor liner (like Weathertech) as freebies.

Thanks for the tremendous help. Did you get the Tire/Wheel/Windshield/Full exterior package (assuming you leased) and is $4495 freight/PDI corrrect?

If you do go 19x10 for rear, it is optimized for 295/35/19. Otherwise, no point of using that width.

    for square ... You could opt for Rear Wheels: 9.5Jx19 ET52 (p/n A21340146007X21) ... 265/40/19

Done! He revised, and now is at $6102 + tax...Burlington looks like the best price so far.

    front 19 x 9.5 (265 width)
    rear 19 x 10 265 stretched or go 295?

Edmonton has switched to this new spray de-icer solution from sand and salt, which actually has led to more accidents. The compound gets worse in colder temps and its worse

    Front Wheels: 9.5Jx19 ET25 (p/n A21340126007X21)
    Rear Wheels: 10Jx19 ET55 (p/n A21340127007X21) <<<

Here is the rear winter wheel you can ask.

I am surprised Mercedes St. Catharines want that much $ ... that's like full list (without any discount whatsoever). Sorry to have wasted your time calling there. Since I had a good deal from Justin Davidson, Parts Mgr, I thought he would be nice enough to give a really good deal to whoever asked for it directly.

Are you sure you want to powdercoat them for winter use ? I believe Edmonton uses a fair amount of sand and a bit of salt for the road traction in winter time, I am weary it may chip your wheel.

You bet thanks, reached out, he is offering $6663 + tax, and Burlington is at $5960 + tax. My Edm dealer came down to $6685... going to powdercoat them 50% glossy black. Didn't think the CCB's would pose an issue for aftermarket wheels..

Both don't have the 19x10 wheel spec'd - I don't know if they have it in their order guide?

wow. that's expensive at MB Edmonton. You should get a quote from contact Mercedes St. Catharines https://www.mercedes-benz-performanc...bout-us/staff/ to get a quote from Justin Davidson, Parts Mgr. See if you can get a discount from him and also see if the price is decent (better than other mb dealers), ask to see if he can ship to you.

As for staggered or square, it comes down to personal preference. If go staggered, then you should be looking at 10 inch width wheel to have a better/proper fitment. If go square, I would go with 265/40/19, with either Conti 860S or Michelin PA5, in which both are very good winter performance tires. (I have Conti 850P which is last year (final year) winter performance tire and 860S is supposed to be better/improvement in dry condition)
