The best thing I did to my E300 was swapping it to manual. The auto tranny saps up an extra 8-10% of the engine's power to the wheels. That means my 220bhp with the auto made 176 horses at the wheels, while the manual make around 195. It's a good difference.

That being said, the best option by far I think is a C36 AMG swap. It's an M104 with higher displacement and EFI. De cat it and it gains a few extra ponies. The engine is also a straight swap and can be done in manual transmission as well. I'm considering this route, along with a custom made turbo kit.

I'm fairly certain w124 is not drive by wire, but rather mechanical.

I read over some of the stuff on your thread and i saw the link on your first post, so i went looking on the website.
I read on and found out some of the numbers are definately BS.
But i saw this one, the one on the link i just sent you, and its exactly what im looking for!
I just dont know if i can trust it though. its called a "Sprint Booster", and apparently if you read a bit about it on there, are big differences in the high rev range, and it cuts down respone time.
Can i believe that? Is it turstworthy? Can it really make a big acceleration difference in the high rev range? Can it really cut response time to almost nothing?

They are fine Rich, I still just have not found lugs of the proper length yet. I have to take the time to do that after I get out for the summer. I needed to drive the car so I just put them in bags and threw the stockies back on.

Hey! So what happened to the monoblock wheels? If they just won't fit, I will refund, and or maybe I have another set you would like (like from a 96/97 420)
