    Hi Freefall,
    apparently you the guru to speak to.
    Can you advise the cheapest solution to run a standalone M156/7. I want to drop it into a VW amarok. So will need to comm with the VW canbus.
    Someone has done the same thing but into a hilux. He used a Motec system, but these seem to be on the high price scale.
    I have the engine for free, and plan to use the pick-up to work and back and on our farm.
    The mechanical part should be straight forward and Im sure I can manage.
    But im a bit in the dark on the electrical side. Im not using the merc box, Ill probably use the VW 6 speed manual.

    Whats up buddy,

    The cop was actually super nice and let me go but not before giving me 3 fix-it tickets!! Better than speeding ticket though!! I'll find the contact info for the the upgrades and let you know. Take it easy...
