I love the look of your car. Clean, simple, subtle and yet it makes a statement! Thats exactly what i would like to do with my car and would like to change my wheels. Do your rear wheels have a deep dish or is it a small polished lip?

Thanks for the kind words.... I like to keep the mods clean and simple I feel they look better. The grill I just painted. I got the same black paint from the store and then removed the grill (whcih is easy enough) and rubbed it down a little with fine paper. I then sprayed some thin coats onto the grill and finally used a laquer at the end to get it glossy!. YOu can also put it in an oven at home to get a nice finish.
As for my rims, winter in Scotland can be harsh but I dont think as harsh as Chicago can get though. They use a lot of salt on the roads to melt the ice and it kills my laquer. I do have a set of winter wheels but dont really bother changing them. Im goingt o try and buff the rims up again as they are polished and then get a really good sealant to see if ti works....

Hey I just wanted to let you know your clk is defiantly my favorite I've seen so far. I was thinking of doing the black grill and flat badge as well even though my car is white. Then I figure I'm going to want rims like yours as well. Did you just paint the grill or did you buy one and if you did where did you get it. Also do you interchange rims for summer and winter? I would have to because winters in Chicago are rough and I have performance tires on now. Is it difficult to interchange them? Let me know thanks

on the rear, I had the same problem it was still too high on number one pad too. So what I did was as the pads are so cheap to buy I used the number one pad and then cut the top of it off just where the mould seam is. The results was the car dropped just that bit more I needed and the coil still had a bit of rubber around it to keep it from any movement. Basically the coil end was just showing through the pad so in effect zero pads as the coil end then rested in the spring socket.

hi mate how are you regarding your rear spring pads are you running the rears with no pads at all pls let me know cos i done 1 pads all round and the back is a bit higher?
