    I was reading your post on the porting and polishing you did on your inlet manifold a while back....

    Someone called Speedy benz commented that if you were to hook up the manni with the vacuum activated runner valve disconnected you would get some benefit.... I was wondering if you did this and what the result was? did the car run ok, did it idle ok, were there any issues?

    The reason i ask is that i have a 55 amg with a cracked inlet manifold, I have sourced a replacement but the rubber nipple that the vacuum hose connects to for the runner valves has perished and is not available as a spare, i cant take it off my damaged part as its also perished... the garaged told me they can block the hole and hook up the IM without the valve system operational, which will leave them wide open. i thought that this would make the car run lean on idle and it might run rough...

    Would you recommend doing this?
