Hey man, I just came across your post about your double din install after starting a thread earlier! I am lost with this install. Could you please check out the thread? https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ifficulty.html

I have the factory unit out and have the following concerns

    1) Lack of pins on new adapter harness. Does not appear to adapt strange white connector on factory harness (See picture I have posted in thread)
    2) Unsure if I have additional amplifier (No markings on speaker panels, VIN indicates "Audio 20 Radio"). Do I need the axxess XSVI 9005 NAV to bypass amplifier?
    3) Connecting to cigarette lighter. Does that just supply 12 V to amp. Not sure which wire to connect there, if that is even what I need to do.

I would appreciate any help or insight you can offer!

Hey man I've just been browsing the forums because I'm doing pretty much an entire suspension refresh in a couple of days on my '06 C230. I'm installing front/rear Koni FSD shocks/struts with Eibach pro springs as well as upper/lower controls arms and inner/outer tie rods. I'm going balls deep haha. Anyway I got the procedures down and now I'm just looking for good practice techniques and comparing/contrasting different methods etc. I noticed a post you made a long time ago in the Strut Bearing Replacement DIY. You said to apply some white lithium grease in a couple places before installing the assembled strut. When you say body socket are you referring to where the bearing fits into the body itself? And the bundt? I'm lost with that one lol. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hey there,
I noticed you had a thread on changing the exhaust manifold gasket. Im glad I finally found someone recent fiddling with this component. In a very short while, Im going to take on the task of removing the exhaust manifold/catalyst. I was wondering if during the gasket change, did you have any issues removing the bolts holding it to the block? I have an 04 c230k, and I believe this manifold and the bolts are original.
