    Hi,

    Yes at the top of the strut is a rubber top that looks like a bundt cake ... that fits under the wheel well and holds the car up from underneath. I would coat that rubber with something that will prevent squeaking. One you have installed it all on the car it is still possible to jack up the car and drop the suspension maybe an inch, and get in there from on top to lube it up ... but easier to lube it before you install the shock.

    At least that's my take on it ... others might say not to lube it, as the rubber shouldn't move against the car. But before you do the suspension, have someone turn the wheel lock to lock while you take a close look at the top of the strut to see how it changes orientation and if the rubber in there looks like it is stretching or sliding.
