W163 air actuator motor
after trawling through a dozen pages I have still no info on my air actuator motor! Lol
After stripping the airbag out and removing the motor (easy job, no dash removal required). The link arm has stripped on the motor shaft, this is due to the fact that on coldest setting the motor turns constantly one way, turn the dial up one click and the motor turns the opposite direction constantly! I tried a replacement motor and it is the same. I have not located any sensors that control the motor apart from the climate control unit. Any ideas, I love this motor

I recall reading somewhere of a similar problem. The post said there is a white plastic tube about the diameter of a nickle. It is supposed to be connected to the back of the slotted sensor opening this is just below your LOW RANGE switch. My white tube is corrugated (has ridges).
You may be able to put an eyeball on it with a mirror or you can pull the radio and easily see it.
