Tires/run flat/MOE/slime kit?

I would like to know what everyone is doing with the tires that come with the C63S.
From what I am told there is not a spare.
From what I read the tires are a special breed from MB called MOE or
Mercedes Original Extended
They are a almost run flat but not quite
There is not a slime kit included
The tires will go about 50 miles at 50MPH if not heavily loaded

SO:
1 If you want a larger tire are they made in this type?
2 If not Are you going to just put regular summer performance on and get some slime or rely on a flat bed?
3 Is there room for a donut?
4 My car is not here yet so does everyone's tires have MOE or MOExtended on sidewall?

I would be interested in everyone's thoughts on this.

My build states "TireFit" in the specifications. The C63S comes with high-performance summer tires. The standard C-class cars come with MOE tires.

I don't know what tirefit means?
They do come with high performance summer but that does not mean they are not run flat or MOE

I hope to never have to figure this out but for now, my plan is to roll with the M-brace "SOS" service if needed. If I get a flat, I'll get service and replace the tire. I don't think there is an option unless you use your trunk space to carry around an extra tire.

My spec for the C63s says "Tirefit with electric pump".
Does anyone know how this works?
Does this mean that the tyres are normal tyres?
(excuse the non-US spelling)

I run MPSS on my GTR - no spare also. I have a kit that has slime that's tpms safe & a small compressor. Haven't had to use it but I've seen where a few have and it got themout of a jam. Plan to get one for my C63s too when it comes in & I switch to something wider. Nice insurance policy if you are in the middle of nowhere or a flatbed/tire service isn't an option.

Thanks ICEMAN II for the effort in taking the photos.
It looks straight forward and a good system as I assume it can be reused as often as required (as opposed to some systems where you need to replace the air cylinder every time it is used).

Iceman have you looked on your tires to see if it says MOE?
Is the choice MOE with no slime kit or non MOE with a slime kit?

all look at your tires and see if it says MOE or not and if you have a kit or not

I have not taken delivery of my car yet so can only rely on the Spec sheet for Australian delivered C63s. It says "TIREFIT with electric pump in lieu of MOExtended run-flat safety tyres". I assume it is the same everywhere for the C63s but may be different for the C63.

I haven't noticed MOE anywhere on the tires. Here is a pic of the stock tires that came with the car. If you enlarge the pic, you can examine it but I don't see MOE on it.

The air pump is obviously electrical and can be reused. However, the sealant looks like a one-time-use item that must be replaced after use.

I'm also not sure how well such a system would work if you get a large nail or bolt in the tire. Something like that would likely cause further tire damage even if the sealant initially sealed around it.

The price of a AMG Spare Tire is extremely expensive. I already looked into that. Plus, you would have to keep it on top of trunk area.

JP
Does the US order sheet allow a choice of tirefit with non MOE tires and a kit vs MOE and no kit?

I still am in period where I can change order.

No. You cannot choose anything with tires. Tirefit is 100% standard equipment.

I saw a C63S in a SoCal showroom that had MOE on the tires but I did not look in the trunk.

They will all have MOE Tires since MOE stands for Mercedes Original Equipment.

No--It stands for Mercedes Original Extended
Look on the Tire Rack site as they explain it to some extent in tech area.

Tire Tech

Mercedes-Benz Original Extended Tires (MOExtended or MOE)

(Lea en español)
Tires branded with MOExtended or MOE on their sidewalls identify them as being specifically tuned for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The Extended portion of the name identifies they feature run-flat-like tire characteristics by offering temporary extended mobility. However since they don't meet all of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) run-flat tire operating limits under all permitted vehicle loads, they cannot be branded as run-flat tires.
Mercedes-Benz vehicles traditionally provide high levels of comfort, which makes it challenging for chassis engineers to add traditional run-flat tires without experiencing some sacrifices in ride comfort. Mercedes-Benz believes much of the undesirable ride firmness is directly associated with traditional self-supporting run-flat tires, so they collaborated with several tire manufacturers to develop lighter-duty temporary extended mobility tires that are designed to increase trunk space and provide a location for the BlueTEC diesel urea tank while enhancing vehicle fuel economy and everyday ride comfort.
Operating Limits

In the event a simple puncture results in tire pressure loss, traditional ISO run-flat tires are rated to provide temporary mobility for up to 50 miles (80 km) at up to 50 mph (80 km/h) for all permitted loads after the vehicle's tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) alerts the driver of significant tire pressure loss.
While the same speeds are permitted 50 mph (80 km/h), MOExtended tires are designed to provide temporary extended mobility on a fully loaded vehicle for up to 20 miles (30 km) and on a lightly loaded vehicle of up to 50 miles (80 km) after the vehicle's tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) alerts the driver of significant tire pressure loss.
Tire manufacturers that produce MOExtended tires for Mercedes-Benz vehicles include Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear and Pirelli.

I got lost in the transition of this thread. Yes, however, on every C63 it will be stamped MO on the tire for Mercedes Original.

Old thread bump lol. So I had the unfortunate need of using my tirefit kit today. The slime was on and around the connection to the compressor, and likely in the tubing as well obviously. Anyone know if these kits are reusable or one-time use only (not the slime, but the hose, compressor, etc).

Also, FYI, I didn't get very far after the OEM slime....about 5-6 miles before the pressure loss was bad enough that I had to stop and wait for the tow truck. Wondering if the actual Slime brand tire sealant would do a better job (it has tons of great reviews, and also comes in a much larger size than the tiny one MB gives us).

MY C class coupe owners manual TireFit (p.358-362) .Last para. on p.362 advises to drive nearest qualified specialist and have the tire, tire sealant and filing hose replaced there. See below photo

Just as an FYI, you can buy a new kit from the company that manufactures these for MB and other OEMs at a cheaper price than the refill. Its not an exact OE replacement as it doesn't fit perfectly in the designated spot, but it fits nicely in the little tray under the floor on my sedan, so not a terrible inconvenience. I purchased my car used and noticed it didn't have a kit a few weeks after, just bought one of
these these
in lieu of dealing with the dealer after the fact.
