RENNtech C63 / C63 S Stage 1 ECU tune - now with TUV approval
in case some of you have missed this:
we've been working on the M177/178 engines since we got both last year, followed by having a first turbo upgrade ready long before the cars came out and been the first ones with stock and tuned dyno figures for both models (timeline can be followed on youtube, facebook, b-boost and so far).
Back in March this year we continued with further development with the first GT-S on the dyno around, followed by the C63 in April

Now it's the time to share some good news: after many thousand kms on each car our M177/178 Stage 1 ECU tunes got a TUV approval earlier this month making it street- / insurance legal in Germany and in most of the European countries
The TUV confirmed 450kW for both models, making it 612PS at crank. Pictures below.
As you can see, we take R&D seriously as proper R&D takes its time, we don't just make a few runs on a dyno and immediately sell tunes without putting them to the acid tests for a longer period of time under all possible ambient conditions.
Tunes can be ordered from now on.
BTW: Our Stage 2 Upgrades for the GT-S will be available shortly, the C63 will follow after the GT-S release.

Gains for C63 S are around 60-70hp
approx. 433whp on C63 non S model (STOCK)
approx. 469whp on C63 S (STOCK)*
approx. 534whp with STAGE1
All on same C63 non S car with performance exhaust / no hardware changes / same dyno
* C63 non S with C63 S stock mapping
These are SuperFlow dyno numbers, numbers on a different dyno will differ.
Tunes are also available at RENNtech's HQ in Florida now.
You need to ask there about the warranty, we have a different deal here in Europe.
The tune as such is the same.
Yeah Guys, it was in Manaco back in April when we got the car, ran it in and made the first long term road tests with the tune

For now it's only the ECU tune.
Before sending the ECU, you should make sure to run the latest factory updates for ECU and TCU.
Tuners tend to manipulate the numbers so they can market a +100 HP gain. Still, +75HP is nothing to sneeze at and shows just how detuned the base model is.
