Tracking the delivery of your car
Gentlemen,
I remember reading there is a way to track the shipment of your car once the car leaves the plant in Alabama. Pretty much equivalent to tracking a package on UPS.com.
I can't find the thread that had the web address. Do any of you have the link? Secondly what information do you need to put into the sight to locate the car? VIN number?

You must have a Netstar account so only your Dealer can do it. My salesrep updated me every time there was a change in status.

Actually I remember reading there is a way to do this. You need the VIN to get a container number or something along those lines. Then you put that information on the shipping companies website. People on here were having success with this.

I asked my dealer if I could track the car like my buddy did with his BMW and he said no it is not possible unless you have a Netstar account.
On Kuba's thread somebody helped him out and provided info for tracking.

I spoke with my dealer today. My car is still scheduled to complete assembly on August 25. According to my dealer, Mercedes is continuing to hold all 2016 c class cars, including C63's, assembled in Alabama and will continue to do so for two more weeks before releasing them.
