Check Brake Pad Wear Indicator

I got this message this week. I pulled off the wheels and checked pad material and rotor tolerances with a caliper on both passenger side brakes and both rear brakes. I didn’t pull off the driver front. All pads were fine. I am running porterfields since 3k miles. I am now at 25k miles but the vast majority of this is easy freeway miles. All rotors were fine. Do you guys think this is a bad pad wear sensor? When I swapped the porterfields, I swapped the sensors. If I put new pad wear sensors on, will the dash message automatically go away or is there a reset procedure?

Thanks.

I just got the pad wear warning today at only 15,000 miles. I've had the annoying "it's not a bug, it's a feature" brake squeal since I took delivery of the car. Going to have them looked at by the dealership tomorrow. Hoping whatever fix they come up makes them quieter. Also hoping it's warranty, since 15k is quite early for brakes when I'm not going to the track with it. It's embarrassing to drive an $80k car around town sounding like an old Ford Escort at stops.

If it is a bad sensor you should be able to replace it and the indicator light goes off automatically. I am in the middle of servicing my pads on my 16 C63S as well, 30k miles.
