Suzuka was the best F1 race I have seen in years. Absolutely awesome.
The ***** on Alonso - on the outside of Schmacher in 130R at 180mph!
Kimi and Alonso were absolutely on fire, it was sheer brilliance. So many great passes, fantastic!
And for Kimi to bring home the bacon from 17th place... I'm in awe.

KIMI was in fine form !
SPEED Channel commentators made a remark about mid-way through the race when M.Schumacher / Alonso / Kimi were all nose-to-tail. It went something like this: "We have the past, present, future all lined up".
While Alonso is no doubt a fast and daring driver, I must say that KIMI is all about driving technique. It all goes well for him, when McLaren-Mercedes provide a trouble-free machine. Fuel strategy was right on. Passes were incredible, yet without that "ohhhh *****, he's going to wreck" feeling you get when Alonso does it.
So know the Constructor's Championship is up for grabs in Shanghai next week. Renault is 2 points over McLaren-Mercedes.
We can always add another "What If?" had Montoya not been pushed off by Villeneuve at the beginning of the race.....

ONE WORD FOR THE RACE- INSANE!!! MS is my fav driver but kimi is right upthere (2nd fav) jezz i was so happy he beat that damn fonzi guy!! and i was with style--haha it reminded me of the nurburing race when he lost his front suspension the last lap on the straight ! and this time we got it

Oh man, that was a hell of a race, but I didn't get up to watch it live. And I accidentally saw this thread before the replay came on, so I knew the outcome

Trulli lost his Renault ride for giving up 3rd place to Barrichello last year, when they had a longshot fight against BAR for 2nd in the constructors championship. I wonder what words of wisdom Briatore will have for Fisichella after giving up the WIN to a direct competitor for 1st place in the championship. He's been fired from that team before.

what an exciting race - hats off to Kimi for a Back Row to First Place finish. Loved his pass - wheel to wheel - I thought they were going to touch......
BUT HOLY COW - Alonso's pass of Schumi is one of the most spectacular displays of driving courage I have ever seen. Can you say HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE NUTS!!!!!
