JPM wins first Nascar race!
Our old boy, JPM won the Infinion Race in Sonoma over this weekend.
I know that most dont care for Nascar, but this is the one race to watch. It is on a road course with technical sections, lots of passing, and therefor, constant action.
Juan came from 32 on the grid, to win the race via a constant strategy of conserving gas, and making smart Choices. I was impressed to see him pick and chose his battles.
If Speed is replaying this race, I highly recommend it.

I watched most of the race, and said to myself 20 minutes in, "They should pick Montoya to win. If he keeps his head about him and doesn't punt anyone, he should be in the top five, at least."
Afterall, he has more road racing experience that the entire field.

The Nascar boys are all saying he didn't really win... "it wasn't an oval"..."he wasn't the fastest car out there"..."he lucked out on the fuel".

Now, when I want a chuckle, I go to Speed Tv's Nascar section.
Funny thing is the minions want max out races, not won on strategy. What they forget is the amount of strategy that those drivers employ every race.
I'm quite pleased with Juan.
