power steering issue again

just had the power steering pump replaced under warranty because it apparently packed up whilst technician was test driving car after service. got car back telling me it was now perfect only to find a few days later that at parking speeds and slightly over the steering wheel really weighs up so much in what seems like increments (on and off every couple of inches) that it is almost impossible to park the car. obviously it has to go back yet again.Any idea's what could be wrong anyone -

amendment to above - it is now intermittant, fine when I start off, but gets really heavy when I try to park it when I get home.

sounds like the speed sensitive steering thinks it (the car ) is at speed....it will also do this..not intermittantly, if the valve on the box/rack is unplugged

Thanks MBtech21, could the valve be faulty giving intermittant problems?

Yes that is a fairly common fault.

I would suspect a faulty valve on the rack itself.
