Anything I should be wary of....

Last week my wife had my car and said that after driving it earlier in the morning, she wasn't able to start the car again. I thought it was a steering lock that was the problem, but she tried my suggestion and still wouldn't work. Anyway, we called roadside assistance, the tech couldn't get it started either. Ended up getting towed to the dealership. They ended up placing a new ignition cylinder in the car but then said a lot of electrical problems were occuring and it wouldn't recognize the key. The techs were stumped and even had to call Germany for advice. Turns out the dummy program key that came with the cylinder was faulty and had caused havoc with the electrical system. The tech got a new key and then programmed the ignition to recognize my system. My question is, should I be worried about any hidden electrical damage this may have done (the techs said they never saw anything like it). Luckily I bought the extended warranty and everything (including tow) was covered.

Appreciate any input.
