S320 Outside Mirrors Not Folding in
the outside mirrors on my 1996 S320 suddenly stopped folding in. A forum member suggested that an instrument cluster setting may be resposible for this and I should check the owners manual for direction. Please let me know whether there may be other causes(s) for this problem and what setting steps I should take to use the instrument cluster proposed solution. Thx!

check the fuse ,if it is blown then it is the harness getting chafed on the inner bracket,from movement ,i do, believe the fuse is also for power seats ,check the basics first ,,

BMW E30. I've turned to the dark side.
+1 - if you can see the wiring while peeking into the back of the mirror housing, you can usually see the wire insulation is all broken down and a few of the wires have touched each other
