Does the 2.82 gear set used in the large case V8 differentials (SL55) have overlap with another gear set used in an other model? Such as say the W210 E430's 2.82 or a W209 CLK500's 2.82?
I realize the cases may be different, I was referring to the actual gear set within the case.
I wanted to rebuild my (2.65) gear set up to a slightly higher final drive when I did my LSD install.
I know BMWs have a wide range of overlap (for example the actual gear set from any M series, be it Euro E36, E39, E46, etc, swaps interchangeably with each other), hence the basis of my question.
I appreciate any input or references to who I could ask such details. Thanks much!
