halogens to xenons
I just swapped out my halogens headlights to xenon headlights and from what I've read from board members, I'm supposed to go to the dealer and let them use the star diagnostic system to "set the xenons to present." I made friends with one of the employees at mb collision center and he offered to try to do it himself with the star diagnostic system. he hooked it up and wasn't sure what to do from there. any ideas?

Well I am certain that its much more than "just because". Perhaps he sees a litany of potential issues that you may have created with your installation, wiring, ballasts, etc or perhaps it an aftermarket unit. Do not blame him for not wanting to jump in and become liable. My suggestion is to put your std headlights back in, go to a dealer and ask them to install. Maybe they will and maybe they won't.
