I know the resonator/ sound pipe changes the note of the exhaust.
I know the resonator/ sound pipe restricts exhaust flow.

Does the resonator/ sound pipe make the exhaust louder?

Specifically, does the Eisenmann sound pipe make the exhaust louder or quieter? Does it change the note to be deeper? Raspier?

I don't know, but I'm about to find out, I'm going to have the resonator removed from my car this week, I'll let you know the results, if I don't like it I'll put it back and then change the muffler for a Flowmaster series 60, not very loud.

Please post the results/feedback once you have your resonator removed, I've been wanting to remove my resonator on my C200K sedan but I don't want my car to have unwanted effects apart from a little louder exhaust note as my Remus is a little bit too quiet for my taste.
