Media Interface Plus (MIP) Update
 

Hello,

I'm curious as to what the heck happenned with the Media Interface Plus. Mercedes website no longer display this item in their accessories list. When I first purchased MIP I remember they said they were working on some updates and they will be releasing them on the next firmware release.

Well.. I can't find anywhere where to download this firmware. I really do not want to go down to the dealer and have them charge me to update a firmware I just paid $500 for Service C and certainly am not looking forward to pay them more for this.

Also has anyone been able to get the SMS Reading Email reading functions working on MIP using iPhone 5? The MIP requires MAP enabled devices to work and as far as I know iPhone5 iOS6 does have this function. I enabled MAP on Bluetooth but still unable to get it to display my text messages.

where you able to get MIP working with iphone 5 for audio streaming? Also does the car BT phone features still work, while your phone is paired with MIP?

I was told by my local dealer that Bluetooth audio streaming is not supported by MIP in my 2010 S550. Do you know if that is infact the case?

Hello! Anyone knows where I can download MIP app/bootloader software update? I just got MIP for my car (2011 R350), but its older software version and SMS reading is not functioning.
