E63 Dual Clutch slipping

Looking for some help, 2010 E63, 83000 Kms , intermittently feels like slipping clutch under hard accell, from a rolling start @ 15 to 20 kmph,

The clutch feels and sounds like its slipping, if you wide open throttle, the car revs and moves but feels like the clutch has not applied full pressure, when it slips its also whines.

Is there any adjustment or is the dual clutch pack weak and needs to be replaced.

any ideas thanks AL

It could be one of the clutch packs in the transmission proper as well. For instance, the B2 brake element is actuated to move from neutral to 1st or 2nd. If it's slipping, you'd have the same symptoms. Reverse is actuated with a different brake element. Do you get slippage under hard reverse? Do you get slippage in any other shifts?

There are no adjustments in any case. The best it might be is the throttle body, with one of the solenoids that actuates the friction element sticking. But it's more likely to be some clutch pack. Somebody who really know the transmission needs to look at it. They'll check for codes and see what kind of stuff is in the pan.

BTW, it's not a dual-clutch transmission, which is very different. A dual clutch transmission is essentially two automated manual transmissions in one case. One has the odd gears and another the even, with a separate clutch for each. It can shift very quickly because the transmission halves alternate shifting. But nothing in my answer above relates to dual-clutch transmissions.

You have a multi-clutch transmission, which is a regular planetary gear set automatic with clutches and brakes to control shifting, not synchronizer cones. It merely replaces the torque convertor with a clutch pack.

E63 Clutch pack

Thanks Whoover, the slipping is intermittent and so far only happened in first
No notice of reverse or any other gear.

Ill check Throttle body, but i agree its most likely Clutch it self.

BTW, "throttle body" was a brain fart on my part. It's the transmission valve body.
