Question 1987 420sel O2 Sensor

Just looking for advice about replacing the Oxygen Sensor. I've become confused by the number of choices and prices for a replacement. Do I have to spend $150 for the OEM part or can I get away with the "universal" part at $40? And are there any knowledge tips I may need to do this job? Thanks.............

I would stick with the MB part. You are assured that it will work correctly and be compatable with the system. Be careful getting it out as that may be difficult. When installing the new one use some anti seize on the threads and do not over torque it.
