Could someone answer a break job question ?

I am about to pull the calipers off my 2000 E320 and it looks like the break line needs to be disconnected (it is not all flexible) I have never seen this before on breaks, This sound right ?
Thanks Deano

there should be some flexible hose somewhere. The wheel does turn and go up and down!
Other wise what is the big deal? You would normally bleed the brakes and change the fluid anyway when you change pads or disks. Bleeding is not difficult.
