Advice appreciated - torques Hybrid vs Diesel

In the UK I am about to order a C350e Plug in Hybrid. Demo's are not available until at least June. I currently have a CLS 350CDI and the C350e is allegedly slightly quicker 0 - 60. Due to the electric motor will the C Class be as 'torquey' as the 350CDI. The info I found is all Greek to me -

Putting out 60 kW (80 hp) of power and 340 Nm (251 lb.ft) of torque, the C350’s electric motor boosts total power to 205 kW, with peak torque of 600 Nm when combined with the petrol engine in “boost” mode – 80 more than the C450 AMG 4MATIC launched alongside it in Detroit. This allows the hybrid C-Class to sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in only 5.9 seconds.

Any help gratefully received

The advantage of an electric motor is that full torque is available immediately from application. That's responsible for the different 0 to 60 figures.
