Cluster/Dash lights all out!

Cluster/Dash lights all out!
Car is a 2000 S430 (electroluminscent dashboard cluster)
My wife was driving the car today. All was fine when all of a sudden all the dashboard gauge lights went out! The digital readouts for the odometer, clock, temp. are all fine.
I checked the fuses f19, f20, f21 and f22 and they are all fine. Interestingly f19 did not have a fuse in it and that must be okay as the lights have worked fine till now.
Any thoughts? The car is out off warranty and I sure would appreciate any help. Thanks.
