W203 SRS issues - cannot reset the SRS
I had a bit of an issue where by radio froze and drainned the battery on my W203 C270. I tried to jump start the car using a portable emergency power pack but the SRS is now showing a malfunction so won't allow the car to start.
I hooked up my iCarsoft MBII and tried to reset but can't. The fault appears to be real and not just a case of needing to reset after the battery died.
The fault code is 'Ignition circuit with ignition squib R12/11 (Left rear side airbag ignition Squib) - Resistance is too large'.
I can't seem to buy a squib online so assume I need to take it to a dealer. However, I can't get the car to start without addressing this issue.
Is there a way to bypass or reset the SRS with a fault in order to drive it a garage that can then look at replacing a defective unit?
Any advice is welcome - thank you

Out Of Control!!
If you left your key in the ignition module, while you boosted the car, you most likely fried the module and others---your only cheap fix is disconnect the battery and reconnect---what happens!!

Thank you for your response.
The battery was falt so I put the emergency power on the battery and switched on the ignition. All lights came on and as I turned to start the engine the a very slight movement and then it stops as though there is an immobiliser preventing the starter motor. The ignition was on. There was then an error message saying SRS malfunction. I turned off the ignition and gave up on the jump start. I charged the battery with a trickle charger and tried again. Full power on electrics (and radio is now fine) but the car won't start becasue of the SRS malfunction (SRS seems to be preventing the starter like an immobiliser would). I plugged the MBII in and read the error code which won't reset. Have just disconnected the battery for several minutes and then reconnected. Still have error codes. Electrics still come on along with ignition when I put the key in and turn.
I've read that the R12/11 or the X31/1 module connections should be checked (with battery disconnected) but I can't find a decent diagram that shows me exactly where they are or what they look like.
Which module do you think I may have fried? The emergency power pack that I have used has a function to slowly increase the power when you switch it on (once connected to the battery) so as to not cause a surge.

All I can confirm is that connector X31\1 does not exsist on your MY car.
Connector R12\11 is the left rear airbag squib and it's connector is X35\3 left rear door seperation point.
Once you remove the door panel the connector becomes obvious.
PS: Don't get your wooden shoes wet!!

2002 C320 base wagon SRS B103B code
Hi, I have a similar problem on my 2002 C320 base wagon W203, icarsoft MB II is reading B103B - R12/12 rear side air bag squib resistance is too high, Can't erase the fault code, it returns immediately after. So lead me to believe it have the connector problem as mentioned on this forum many times. I really need helps to identify & locate this connector.
