Exclamation 2004 W211 trubble, never seen before

Hey

I drive a stick 2004-w211 220 TCDI and have some weird faults on it.

It started first when it was about minus 20 outside (Since I have the 220 model the tachometer only goes to five and it redlines at four and a half. So the most comfortable pulling ‘’number’’ is two).

As i was saying, it was -20 outside and I fired it up. Started right away (battery from 2012 but never had any trouble with it). As I begun to drive it tugged with the throttle. Like it was giving just a pinch of gas, but let go instantly… then suddenly changed to a higher gear, then realizing that was wrong and changed back down. Really just the common ‘’I am cold behavior’’ as soon as the first temperature line was viable (40*C) it settled down and was as smooth as a baby’s butt again.

(note: the white SBC warning have been flashing for about a year now, anyone know how long it will take before it will turn red? And yes it is the code where I have to change the part, not the one I can delete. In addition, about a month ago the ABS light turned on, then off, then on again then off. A couple of weeks pass and now it is permanently on. Currently in contact with a workshop about the ABS….)

then back to the weird behavior: (note, engine is hot, battery is perfect)

>I was on the highway

>about to pass a truck.

>Floored it,

>it was in 4th or 5th gear with about 2000rpm.

> It was uphill.

>turn inn in front of truck.

>car stops pulling,

>only thing keeping me going forward is the momentum.

>at the same time, tachometer needle goes all the way to 5 and stays there

>I hear the engine; it is just idling as if I just pressed the clutch that a do not have cuz it is a stick.

>no weird movements, sounds, lights or ANYTHING. Like this **** is untraceable.

>Gas-pedal is dead

>holy **** what do I do

>car is just about coming to a stop

> Magic happens, and now it works just fine, as if nothing ever happened

>continue to drive, bout 7 min later it starts to tug and it is now keeping 50km/h by itself just by tugging. Do not worry it was a straight not a hill. The momentum did much of the work.

> Then it stops, is silk-smooth

>I come home

>what a day.

Now I do not have any trouble at all for about 3 days.

>new day

>driving down my steep driveway

>tachometer needle is idling at 1 because I’m just breaking down the hill.

>reach bottom of hill

>push gas pedal once, nothing happens

>push gas pedal twice, nothing happens

>not this **** again but hey, third times the charm. It works.

All this has happened without the engine, tranny, exhaust or car in general making any sounds, weird noises or flickering of lights. Not even a glimmer. I think it is most likely a control unit but that is just a guess.

In addition, since the car is now in ‘’perfect’’ condition it is like looking after a black cat in a dark room, except the cat is not there.

Anyone have any ‘’solutions’’ or light to cast upon this puzzle?

Sounds like an accellerator pedal issue, there are no codes at all in the M/E?

like in the car? No. No lights, codes or anything. I havent checked with a analyzer/computer for anything cuz i dont have one.... But it may be the accellerator yes, I know the pedal is 100% electrical and not mecanical....

Have the car scanned before you guess at it.
