Engine will not crank over when key turned
2007 E550
engine will not crank when key is turned to the start position. It takes several attempts and up to 10 minutes before the car will actually turn over and start. I’ve replaced the battery with a 1000 cold cranking amps battery and problem persists. I purchased a jumpstart device that offers 1200 amos additional on start and the problem still exists, but less frequently. The car will start after a few minutes of turning the key repeatedly with the jump start pack. When I turn the car off ir will start right back up, it never fails if I start the car again within just a couple of minutes it will start easily. Any longer than that. I have to put the jump pack on the battery and still have trouble starting. when I put the jumper pack on the battery that is fully charged and shows 12 1/2 V I see a increase in the trunk light power, they get brighter. Seems I have a stuck relay or something I don’t know.
