There are 18 on Auto Trader right now with under 60,000 miles for less than $30. The range was from 2004 to 2012.

That is where you should be looking for cost analysis. An actual location with a variety of cars being offered.

Ha. Nice try... Why not compare oranges to oranges? 2006 and the Designo package does add a few extra pennies.

Here are all 2006 models, check the ones with similar mileage and you will see even at the fact that my car is a rare model with 19" wheels it is cheaper.

If you are not interested in purchasing the car please stay off my thread. Thanks.

You asked for criticism and you are getting it. 99% of the folks that posted in here have no desire to buy your car and if you are going to be an *** about the posts after requesting the information, then I doubt anybody would want to deal with you anyway.

Practicality will tell you that when somebody is out buying they aren't going to compare "oranges to oranges". Hell that apple looks a hell of a lot better than your orange when it's several thousand cheaper. No offense, but your "mocha" black car to 90% of the population is just that. Black is black unless you are a collector.

Quit getting offended and take what you asked for:

"New price, $32000

I am open to criticism as to why I am not getting much interest..."

Obviously you aren't.

Maybe, maybe not. Hard to tell from the pics. All I know is that MB didn't offer chrome wheels OEM. But it seems that some dealers did chrome wheels and passed them off to the public as OEM. I.e. just because a dealer did it doesn't make it OEM. HTH

if you want to highlight the exclusive/unique color/leather combo, then IMHO you should post lots of pictures that can give a better prespetive of this combo.......post tons of pictures highlighting this fact..........more pictures more visual representation of what the interior looks like.............GLWS

I think Javvy's feedback is good.

You think the car is special (from your comments I think this is your view), so you need to make it a distinctive ad (lots of pics, clear explanation why you want a higher price on the car) and being willing to wait. If the car isn't special, then you probably need to list at a market price

Somethings buyers and sellers generally don't agree on:
1) getting paid on options for older used cars (5yrs used or older) particularly for NAV
2) which book price to use (Edmunds, KBB, NADA). Your call but KBB is a bit of a marketing tool with large spreads between trade-in and retail value (dealers try to sell with KBB but tend to pay Mannheim or NADA prices)
3) regional adjustments - cars command a premium or get hit with a discount depending on where you are and the haggle factor varies greatly.

Two things to keep in mind are gas prices and your buyer base. Gas should hit 4 to 4.50 a gallon which will hurt your leverage.

In addition, the 2nd or 3rd owners/buyers for an AMG is very different from 1st owners. They tend to be younger, more price sensitive / bargain hunters (obvious but the number of times I hear 'if you can't afford a Merc...' arguments over 10yr old Mercedes would astound you.)

Sadly, time is not on your side. Cars depreciate so it forces a rational or emotional decision over time (the story re: 2004 getting sold for 14k). Nobody I know who sells a used car is pleased with the price they get.

In a pinch, go to Carmax and see what they'll give you. It's a real eye opener

Thanks for the info.

BTW I went to carmax and they offered me $27500 but I could not do that as I owe several thousand over that.

I have the excact color combo as you, but I bought it at 80k miles. The price was 24k. The color combo is really nice, and the dealer was making a big deal out of it too... But honestly when I was picking it up, itwasnt the deciding factor, nor was it something that I would have paid extra for.

I guess its like selling a house with a pool or a high end dedicated home theater room... You have to find the right buyer who is specifically looking for those features, otherwise they won't command any kind of special pricing - no matter how awesome it is.

Good luck!

I like your car and may have missed the following :
(1) has the car had ANY paintwork done to it ?
(2) are you the original owner ? ( I am assuming you are not a dealer.)
(3) do you have all of the service records ?
(4) is there an extended warranty with the car ?
(5) have you done the 60K service (major service) ? (You state it was recently serviced, what was done ?)
(6) has the supercharger been serviced or warrantied ?
