I'm very excited. I have some very simple and clean mods planned. Nothing crazy. I also look forward to keeping her in the stable for a while.

You are correct. The Mileage is at 58k. It had a bit of damage on the lower facia of the front bumper they are fixing and they are having it detailed. Then it is going over to Renn Haus for a PPI. If all is good I'll be heading down saturday to pick her up. Leaning towards having it shipped back. The 16 hour drive would be fun, but it's a lot of time away from family and work.

So, buyer beware. But my search continues.

Thx
Sorry to hear my man, glad you did the ppi to find all this out. I have been kicking myself all week b/c I didn't put down a deposit when I called and was quoted $25.9k for it and I def wouldn't have done one... For as rare as they are, nice ones seem to pop up fairly often to don't get too down brah.

One day...perhaps I will have an AMG wagon. Been dreaming about it for past decade, and despite being able to afford it, just couldn't justify the premium over same E55, esp since they both started out similar price and yet one's often $10-15k more(and usually fewer options). In the mean time, I've enjoyed owning many other MBs that have been lots of fun. Just tough to justify the "price" since it's usually same price as buying the AMG sedan AND a regular wagon.
P.S. I LOVE the new 2014 W212 E63 4-matic wagons...FINALLY seeing many smart dealers ordering white/blk combos. For much of 2000's, have seen VERY few white/blk wagons, let alone E55/E63 wagons. Bottom line, usually AMGs drop 70% from MSRP within 5 yrs, so we''ll see what happens on these.

Supply & Demand my friend. I'm very willing to pay the premium over the sedan knowing that it will ALWAYS carry such premium. With less than 150 of them in the states, they will always be in high demand. I follow all cars and track low volume vehicles for potential investment/collection and IMO, the E55 Estate is going to increase in value. When the trend shifts, I'm not sure, but I believe it will happen.
Going back to E55/E63 wagon, I think the challenge is that it's not just a tiny supply, but the demand is also quite small(relative to other cult cars, ie. NSX, last year of aircooled Porsche, etc...). From my searches, most current owners want a PREMIUM and it's been tough trying to find a motivated seller - even when there are issues(such as from the OP).
P.S. Let me know the next new car that I can drive 6 yrs and retain 50% MSRP

I understand the theory of supply/demand, but I don't always call it so well on premium for cars. As example, C63s are still selling for 50% MSRP even 6 yrs later vs. 33% for S63s. If I knew for sure I could drive C63 for 6 yrs for $5k depreciation per year, I think I'd be tempted.

The next car you can buy and retain 50% of it's value...HMMM. Best guess: Jag F-Type. Surely a future classic. Might not retain it's value in 5 years, but in 30+ years, it'll be a collectors car.

For some reason Vette's do too. Audi A5's hold their value very well also and a future classic.(Preferably a S5 or RS5)
