Mercedes-Benz
1976
240D
149,379 miles
Exterior: Original Factory Paint- Caledonia Green
Interior: Bamboo MB-Tex
Manual Windows, Manual Sunroof, Manual 4-speed Transmission.
Located in Laguna Niguel, Southern California

Partial Restoration complete: including NEW (within last 2,000 miles) -- Headlights, Dashlights, Dashlight dimmer, Re-cored Radiator (upgraded 3ply radiator instead of less efficient 2 ply), engine and cooling hoses, Continental engine belts, voltage regulator, water pump, thermostat, valve seals, locking nuts on valves, valve cover gasket, complete overhaul of fuel injectors with upgraded Monarch injectors pop-tested to Mercedes Spec, fuel injector lines, engine breather hose, front calipers, pads, rotors, front wheel bearings with upgraded German bearings, packed with LiquiMoly high heat grease, transmission clutch bushings, engine mounts, rear differential mount, rear chassis subframe mounts, complete set of fuses, and a few more special items that I can personally show the buyer.

Current issues that will need attention: AC spins freely but does not have belt attached, may need recharge. Body is not in perfect condition but very close with only a few blemishes after 35 years. Odometer is known to stick, may need professional's assistance and repair. Exact miles would not exceed 150,000-Engine has no blow-by, dash is crack-free, seats have no rips, and carpets have no holes or wear-marks.

If you know these vehicles, the foot pump on the floor that activates the windshield wipers and spray works perfectly. This Mercedes Benz is not your average 240D.

With purchase comes original documentation dating back to first owner as well as original Mercedes Benz tool-set, original metal stamp from West Germany, and more. I have many, many, many receipts dating back to 1976.

Thank you for the interest, $7,000.

Thanks Polar, my "old girl" is still for sell, if you happen to find some extra room, feel free to send me an email!

Also, If anyone is interested and would like to have the car shipped, I would be happy to help with making arrangements. I can send over more photos of the exterior, interior, or blemishes.

Cheers!

My first Mercedes was a '76 green 240D - nickel green unlike this one, with green interior. Didn't have the sunroof (a feature I've demanded in every car since). Had manual windows but an automatic transmission. Still have fond memories and miss the car which I didn't rightly appreciate at the time. These days my daily driver is an '83 green 200D with manual windows, sunroof, and transmission. Great car but not a W115 - and '76 was the last year those were made. This looks like an awesome car, it's just a hard time to sell. :/
