Want to trade: Your C63/CLS55/E63 for my 996 911 C4S
I sold my C55 and got a fully kitted 996 911. I have been missing the AMG-ness every day, so mildly considering getting back in the fold. My car is described below, please shoot me a PM if you are interested in a trade. I don't mind a long drive for the right car, so location doesn't really matter.
Before you read the description below, couple of things to know (these were new to me as well, since this is my first 911, so worth reading):
2003 996 C4S wide body.
Silver. *MINT* condition, no scratches or blemishes or scuffs at all. Garaged all year under a Porsche cover, with sofa cushions all around it.
35k miles.
Porsche performance exhaust system (X51?) with valve override on dash.
6 speed.
Bose stereo.
Power driver and passenger seats.
Texas car so no heated seats.
Porsche crests on head rest
Painted brake calipers (red)
IMS/RMS/AOS updated with LN Engineering kit. New clutch was installed at same time, along with all recommended updates. Full paperwork available for a $6-7k job done at a reputable Porsche shop in Framingham, MA.
Here are the upgrades:
Bilstein PSS10 fully adjustable (compression AND rebound) coil over system. Car is lowered an inch and rides better than stock. $4k value.
Full 3M/Ventureshield clear bra, including before and after each wheel and door jam scratch proofing kit. $750 value.
Porsche 997 "lobster claw" 19" OEM wheels for wide body offset.
Brand new (less than 2k miles) Continental DWS all season tires. $1300 value.
35% 3M tint - perfectly legal in MA. $500 value.
LED DRLs - $500 value.
Stock CDR-23 stereo upgraded at Becker Autosound to include an Aux jack wired into a factory switch blank on the center console - connect your ipod or smartphone to the Bost stereo.
Will not negotiate price till you have come down and seen it. Ultra low mileage 996s with all IMS issues sorted have started to appreciate in value and mine comes with high $$ suspension upgrades, new tires and new clutch.
Before you read the description below, couple of things to know (these were new to me as well, since this is my first 911, so worth reading):
- Most 911s, especially the wide-body C4S AWD models start appreciating in value after a while. Yes, I said appreciate in value. The 993's (pre-996) are now more $$ in the used market than the 996s and the 996s have already started appreciating slightly.
- My specific C4S has all the known IMS/RMS issues sorted, and a fully adjustable (high $$) Bilstein PSS10 coilover system. Total of just this bullet point is $10k.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Probably the part where you paid $500 for tinting a coupe or thinking that the tint is worth $500. Especially on a car forum.
Sweet car though, GLWS.

Confused. The DWS don't come in the proper sizes for a Porsche 19". What sizes did you use? And please explain your $ valuation.
