Speedybenz 1998 C43/55 with Penske
For Sale, 1998 C43 with 2002 E55 engine and transmission. This car is very special with custom Spring Perches and Eibach Springs, Penske Shocks that are both rebound and compression adjustable, plus fully rebuildable. Custom Swaybars front and rear plus HID headlights. SSR Wheels weigh 15 lbs each.
The car also comes with a complete custom Exhaust with Kleeman headers and X-pipe and single race cats, plus a modified manifold with indivdiual velocity stacks. And other things like The sport Bilstien Shocks, and Lowering Spings, An Innovative Air/Fuel Meter with Wide band Oxy sensors, the bungs are already welded into the exhaust. Stock brakes. Stock wheels. Basically all the stock parts. Also a modified Kleeman Limited slip Differential, which has had all the grear polished to keep oil from attaching andlosing Hp spinning oil and it will run cooler. It does need to be assembled. but all the parts are there. Fog light have been removed and replaced ith brake intake ducts that look great and allow me to grab tons of cold air to shove into the intake manifold. See threads below for all the pics.
Asking $12,000

Bump, Rotors are replaceable by just ordering the correct diameter and width form Colemen Racing or Willwood Brakes. Then you just unbolt the hat and bolt on the new rotor, which run about $100 a piece. The oil gage is a precautionary item to make sure that during hard corning that the oil pickup stays in the oil and doesnt starve the engine for oil and take out the main and rod bearings. In no case Have I ever seen the oil pressure drop due to hard cornering, even when this set-up was on another C43 that I did do track days at places such as Sears Pt. and Thunderhill in CA.
The interior is spotless with no rips or tears in the leather two tone seats. as stated earlier the Penske shocks are fully rebuildable and so your will never have to replace them. All that needs to happen it to send them to a authorized Penske shock rebulder and they can refresh the shocks every few years and replace whatever is wornout within the shock itself. Typically all they ever need is an oil change and to be repressurized. I would typically have them dyno checked to make sure all the shocks are working the same.
While I have a custom front swaybar for the front I typically run the stock bar as it tends to reduce understeer some. With a big V-8 engine up front it is hard to keep a car like this or any car with lots of weight over the front wheels from understeering. Plus I run much higher rate springs to keep the tires flat to the road.
Even with the stock exhaust back on the car is very quick and fast. I have removed close to 250 lbs out of the car and you can feel it when you drive it. This came from light wheels, Light 17 lb battery, lighter front rotors and calipers, removing the spare, etc.

Damn.....just about 3-4 years too late. I was saddened that you decided to keep it when I was hunting back then, but I understood. Awesome car, wish I had a reason to buy another car

Bump, 1998 Mercedes Benz C43 with E55 motor and complete separate exhaust with Kleeman headers that have been ceramic coated by Swain Tech and I have also ported them to improve flow. Also comes with second manifold with individual Velocity Stacks postioned in the manifold to capture either the 2nd or 3rd Hemholtz Wave to increase power by helping to fill the cylinders. The result is that the engine pulls hard all the way to redline, instead of falling off about 1,500 rpm before redline like the stock engine.
