WTB: 2008-09 E63 P030
I am looking to purchase preferably a 2009 E63 with the P030 performance package, but will also consider a 2008. Strongly prefer black on black, but will consider Indium or Flint on black. Strong documented service history a must. Prefer around 50K miles or less (a little more okay), one or two owner, NO ACCIDENTS, original paint, light mods okay. While I'm at it, it would be nice for it to be somewhere near DFW, but not necessary. I have frequent flier miles.
I understand that I'm asking for a lot and pretty much a needle in a haystack. I also understand it won't be too cheap. But if it's out there, I'll deal with it.
I don't have any posting history on this site but I've been lurking for some time and joined last year. I've spoken to a few members via pm (thanks again for your graciousness) and have spent many, many hours reading and researching (and thanks to all the members for sharing their knowledge and experience; I've learned a lot). When I find my "holy grail", I'm ready to pull the trigger and have cash in hand.
Thanks for your time, consideration and any leads you may have.

Here's one w/o P030, but it is a 2009, black on black, and under 50k miles.

Personally I don't like the wheels in the P30 package...

mightar - Many thanks for the tip. I've also seen that one on autotrader. I haven't looked into it further cause I was really holding out for a P030. Funny about the eye of the beholder; I really kind of like the '30 wheels. However, the miles on that one are good and I think it's been on their lot for a little while, so I may look into it a little further. Thanks again for the heads up. It's greatly appreciated.
djrabbi - I'm interested. I will shoot you a pm in the morning if appropriate.
Thanks again, guys.

I checked on that one. It's a multi-owner Canadian car that the dealer didn't have any history for. Also, carfax was no help on that. It looks okay, but the lack of any real provenance whatsoever was a bit of a turn off for me. I didn't go a whole hell of a lot deeper than that on that one as it isn't an '09 and is silver (preference toward black or dark greys). I will travel to check a car out and get PPI, but prefer to do it if it is my "holy grail" car. I have a line on a black '09 from autotrader, but I think the guy is waiting on a check already. I'll know a little later this week, but it doesn't look good for me.
I pretty much check daily on ebay and autotrader/cars.com and some craigslist. I put the feeler out so in case any member has one and was thinking about selling, or had a buddy who was. However, things do slip by me, so I truly appreciate any and all tips. Thanks again, DJrabbi and Mightar!

I have a fully loaded CLS55 with the 030 and Designo package. I'm in Houston if you want to check it out. Last service was done 2 weeks ago and has been under warranty most of its life. Plenty of service history during my last 5 years with it. Light mods include CLS63 PP steering wheel, +09 CLS63 oem grill, color-matched turn signals, renntech v2 lowering module, pulley & tune. ADV's are not included. PM your phone number if you are interested and we can chat.

Wow! That car is a knockout! It's got a lot going for it and it looks like you have loved it. Unfortunately for me, it's not a E63. I've been all over the map on looking for what I think is the right car for me, and I'm pretty much dead set on the E.
You've got a great looking car, though, with the provenance to match. If I were in the market for a CLS, we'd be on the phone right now.
Thanks for giving it a try, though. You never know....

I had your car a few months ago...2009 Black/Black w/ 20k miles, P30, Carbon, LOADED! Window was $109k. Sold it at auction for $39k...regret it!
There is one on AutoTrader w/ 49k miles for $33k. Looks OK except for the tinted lights.

I had my eye on the first one you mentioned while it was at the Dothan dealership, but caught it late and it got away from me. I snoozed and I lost. I regret that as well.
The other you mention is the one I have had a line on. Spoke to the owner but he supposedly had a guy he was holding it for to pick it up with a check today. Was supposed to hear from him today if the guy didn't make it. I haven't heard from him. I did pull a carfax and it has an accident on the report, which concerns me mucho, although it notes the airbag didn't deploy. Also, the owner didn't want to spend too much time talking about it. I assumed he would open up more if the deal he had fell thru. It has been on Autotrader a while, originally listed at $39k. Was wondering if there was something more to the story, but haven't had the chance to dig deeper. I've just kind of let that one go and continued with the hunt.
Thanks for the heads up. Wish you still had the other one!

Oh, man. The more I think about the 09 you sold at auction, MBCLK60, the more I regret it! I need to have my head examined for letting it slip by. Lesson learned, I guess.

Can I interest you in a 2010 E63? Again...the right one. Black/Black, carbon fiber trim, P02 premium pack, illuminated door sills, parktronic, AMG performance steering wheel, pano roof, night view, AMG exterior carbon package, 19" forged wheels - window sticker $107k. No Perf Pack. But a CPO car.

I'm a sucker for the W211 body/interior style. One of the best looking sedans made, imo. Can't say I'd bite, but shoot me some pics, miles, history, and, of course, price, if you want. I'm pretty dead set on a 211, but stranger things have happened.

Oh, man. I seem to be missing them by just a hair. Although I'm not in a huge hurry as I know finding my "holy grail" is a patience game.
I'd also consider a low mileage, 2009, one or two owner non-P030 car if it has VERY good history and service records and was very close to the DFW area (blacks or dark greys). I really only want to travel for the holy grail P030.
Thanks for keeping a lookout, Tim.Rebe. And thanks for the reply and free bump!

** I am not sure if this has the P030 since some dealers equate AMG with Performance Package. You may need to see the sticker or call and ask if it does have the P030. *** Price seems HIGH to me and they're fishing in the 30s for sure!!

Yeah, I think they're smokin' on the performance package and I think you're right on about most dealers and their assumptions. I'm pretty sure one of the tell-tale signs of a P030 on a 2008 is alcantara on the steering wheel. I know the 2009 is flat bottomed, and the 2008 is not, but I think the alcantara is on both years. Also, typically, an owner might get rid of the two piece wheels for something else, but not usually the standard E63 rims (although some do have a strong aversion to the P030 two piecers).
However, I am gonna check it out, tho. It's got the right mileage.....just wish it was an '09........
Thanks for the heads up, Newzchspy! It's pretty slim pickins on the P030's.
