1983 300D Parting out
Im parting out a very underdriven 300D. It's silver with blue interior. I think this one has less than 200k miles because the odometer was broken at 135k miles. I bought this with the intent to restore but life has it's own way to define new priorities.
Here is the work done so far:
1. Interior cleaned, all minor cracks sealed, seat springs restored. Clean smell and livable.
2. Stereo still stock, A/C works but needs recharge. I don't use A/C much that it looses pressure. The tech says it has to be run at least a few times a month to retain pressure in these old units.
3. Front suspension parts replaced, sway bars etc,.
4. Engine mounts replaced
5. Cranks and runs smoothly anytime.
Now come the things it needs:
1. Transmission leaks slightly.
2. Engine oil cooler hose connector needs to be replaced, I recommend replacing with a retrofit cooler. My indy says he can replace it for 300.
3. Good paint job, exterior is faded.
4. Rear suspension needs work, it drives fine and nothing's wrong. If you want a smooth ride even on the subtle bumps I would.
I'm not skilled to remove parts etc,. I'd rather sell the entire thing and let someone pull these parts out. I'm willing to let go for $1000, I just hate to send this to the salvage yard. It's runs perfectly.
