2008 Flint Grey E63 47K miles
West Coast car
Headbolts, valve buckets, and cams preventatively replaced at dealer by factory trained AMG tech
I have cared for this car as if I were going to keep it for the rest of my life. It has lived in my garage and been a weekend/special occasion only car for me. The inevitable finally happened though; recently I have been getting the itch for something newer and faster, so I’m somewhat reluctantly putting it up for sale.
I have kept a spreadsheet with all service and maintenance I have done since purchasing the car (available upon request). Of particular importance is that I have had the original head bolts replaced with the updated design, the valve buckets replaced with the problem-free version from the SLS, and the updated cams installed. This means that all the known “problems” with the M156 motor have been taken care of, making this an early M156 equipped car that you can buy without having to worry. I have connections at the local dealership so all of this only cost me $4k, but I have heard that it would normally cost $6k - $10k. I have receipts from the dealership for the work and parts.
Asking $29,000
Feel free to PM me for my phone number if you have any questions.
Edit: Photos added. Photos at the very bottom of the post are of the car's few flaws, all of which were present when I purchased the car.
Almost every car that is not brand new has imperfections, and I don't think this ad would be complete without being honest and mentioning the flaws this car has. Here are the photos:
