Good question.


This is a German spec 500SL. Unlike many US models that are "converted" to Euro looks, this one is original. Plus it carries the highest HP motor Mercedes ever put into a R107; which was not offered in the States.

Apparently, you were not the only one. I was on the phone and emailing with three buyers AT THE SAME TIME at some point.


Needless to say, the car sold for more than what I was asking, which is still a bargain for an Affalterbach AMG in my opinion.

Car will be picked up next week and will be going to Spain. Chances are we will never see her again.
