Indianapolis area 'Smack Down To Winter' get together. Yes??
Okay, so winter in the Midwest straight sucks. So I was thinking of hosting a get together at my house in Fishers (north side of Indianapolis) to kind of beat the cold weather blues, and get to know some of the people in the Mercedes community. I would be open to having other non-Mercedes people come over too if the group thought that was okay, but I really think it would be fun. Who all would be interested in doing something like this? We could probably even cook out since my grill is right on the deck outside my back door, and I have air tools and a fully outfitted garage with flat screen, digital cable, XBOX 360, PlayStation, and Wii, if anyone wanted to either work on their cars or simply play sweet video games. I am open to ideas and suggestions.

I love how this thread did not get even one single person. What do you people do during the winter??

Well, I just joined MBWorld. I have an SLK/SL Meet planned for Saturday, June 4th with lunch and dinner at The Canyon Inn/McCormick's Creek SP. Lunch will be from 11:30AM to 12:45PM. There will be a short meeting and the drive starts at 1:00PM. We will take a short break in Bedford, after around 1hr, drive for 2hrs, returning to Bedford for another short break. We will then return to The Canyon Inn for dinner, arriving around 5:30PM.
My wife and I are planning on arriving at TCI no later than 11:00AM.
This will not be a "cruise, look at the animals and smell the roses" type drive. This will be a "spirited" drive while obeying speed limits in the small towns and "burgs' we drive through.

I just discovered the "balloons" after the starting location aren't in order...the drive goes to Bedford, continues to Story and loops back through Bedford and back to The Canyon Inn. Sorry for the mess-up.

Cool! Welcome. I tried to find people around Indy to get together, and as you can see, that did not exactly go well. Not sure where they are all hiding out.

Thank you! I have "my" meet on 3 other forums, and have only had 4 responses in around a month...go figure.
I live on the Northside near St. Vincent Hosp. I'm beginning to see a lot of SL/SLK's, but only one has waved back or even smiled, and that was only once(I've seen the same car/driver many times since, and no "Hi!").
It "sounds" like your garage is a bit more than a garage
"My" half of the garage is taken by my not running, '76 Cosworth/Vega. Some day I may just try to sell it so my SLK can rest indoors at night
