Bi-Xenon headlights

Has anyone with a 2000 or 2001 model with xenons upgraded to the 2003-2005 bi-xenons? If so, what is involved? Is it "plug & play"?

Thanks,

JD

If i remember correctly the lights are wired differently. I think these guys include and adapter to convert the wiring w/ their kit.

bi-xenons

also, I think if xenon is already active, you won't need to have it programmed.

Hey JD,

I am trying to do that very thing. I bought Bi-x's from P.P. along with the pigtails. With the pigtails I could only get the halogens to come on, without the pigtails I get just the lowbeam xenons. I followesd one suggestion to reasign the pins on the ML's harness, but that did not help so far.....

I am still searching...........

Phoenix,

Did your car originally come with xenons or halogens?

It's an '01 ML55 that came with the old style xenons. Any advice on getting the High beam xenons going along with the halogens, (I already did the E-Code Mod.)

The E-code mod. is what you need to do with Pre '02 Ml's if you insall '02+ bi-xenons, so that you can get both the High beam xenon and the halogens to come on at the same time.
