Does anyone in the US have a ML63 yet?
Now, I'm hearing second week in September for the ML63 - and somehow you're upset that I posted this?

Like nothing in the world ever changes? Like people never change their decisions? Like circumstances never change or evolve? Like.... Nevermind. Previous post stands.

Sometimes some of what we talk about, or information I am after, or information that they have or have gathered or come across, I post here on these forums.
Not often, but sometimes. If I feel that it is germaine, useful, of interest, or interesting; or if I am utilizing it in a request; or if another member has requested it, or has posted about it. I do alot less of this since the little flare-up that occurred last Winter...unfortunately.
And much of the information which I become aware of in the course of any given week is not appropriate for me to be sharing in posts on these forums -- and so I don't do so with it.
I will have alot more information of interest to these forums and the members here when I begin travelling to and meeting with car manufacturers, and such as AMG; and when I begin the back-and-forth of having a bunch more cars built, and when I am involved in the process of a bunch more being acquired; and when I have a ton of my own questions which I need to have answered, answered....

I am acquiring an ML63 for use in Europe. I may acquire one for use in the USA. I was communicating with someone on this subject yesterday, received the 2nd week of September information, and posted it in response to the discussion in this thread today. That's all.

How this actually works, how long they get to drive them, how many individuals get the opportunity or are allowed to do so, and whether this is hodge-podge around the country or just in more specific areas -- I don't know the particulars on any of these factors....
But I do know that 'ringers' can often-enough be spotted on the road (and this is apart from the usually camoflagued to some degree 'testers').
so, i'm walking around my car before heading into the theater, and right in front of my face, parked in valet, was an ML63, in what i believe was alpine rain metallic. it had a standard FL plate.
i pointed it out to the valets, who kept saying it was something else...until they read it for themselves. it had fender flares and bumper treatments, and of course the AMG badge. it was definitely the current body, so there was no mistaking it for something else that was modded.
if i hadn't been late, then i'd have gotten the camera from the car and snapped some shots. but i had to exchange tickets i'd prepurchased mistakenly for SCOOP, the new woody allen flick. i have to say that, despite his painfully neurotic one-liners, the story-line came through and won over the audience.
it was about 7:30p. in the dusk, i'd first thought it was the diamond silver i knew from SLs. but it was deeper, more saturated. i chalked up the difference to the bulk of the ML versus the rake of the SL.
when i got home to my system, i looked up the ML build site and found that it had to have been the alpine rain color.
sorry i didn't get pics. next time.
I am still at this point in time planning on doing an ML63 in the Alpine Rain. I am also considering it for the R63 - but the R is of a size where the color choice is of even more critical importance in my mind. (I will see the color in daylight conditions before making the final choice(s), though).
My favorite choice for exterior color on my ML is what I am calling "Bluetec Blue" -- the color that MBZ is using on all (or at least most that I have seen) of the Blue-tec diesel cars making the publicity appearances at the various shows and in their press releases. I am going to Affalterbach to talk with them about that color - and about spraying it on some of my new MBZ's (as well as getting this year's F1 Silver on a couple of others
).
