The mrs used to have a Honda euro. Then a baby came along and I got the AMG.
Never seen her go for the drivers side of the car so much
Was funny the other day though. She rings me to ask if $125 is normal for filling the tank.
It loves the juice!

Hi Kent and Others,
I'm from Sydney.
I've been lurking here since I purchased my Black ML63 (now has 940 Km).
The only mods. At the moment are two rear custom mounted touch screen entertainment screens for the kids.
It's my first Mercedes; had never been in one, or driven one until the day of delivery. Just sitting in it was enough to make my decision to purchase (I figured that AMG and 6.3 V8 went well together without the need for my opinion ). I am wrapped in its Practicality/Comfort/Power combination.
Looking forward to being able to contribute to this forum.

Hey Parcu, im looking for a rear DVD setup as well as it wasn't fitted new.
Where did you get yours done? Does it use the factory preinstalled wiring or is it full custom?
Got a pic of the setup?

Right photo has screen tilted out in order to load DVD.
This system was installed by a guy here in Syndey who was recommended by Mercedes.
- The existing television tuner is used, but channels can only be controlled by the front Command.
- Each screen works independant of each other, or each can view what the other is watching.
- Sound can be played through the car's sound system or the 3 wireless head sets.
- Command works as per usual while all this is happenning...I only wish video in motion could be disabled on the front Command Screen!
At the moment installer is looking into a digital storage solution (probably via Ipod at this stage) to store movies and integrate.
Can pm you the installer's number if you wish.

My car doesn't have TV installed and runs the older Comand APS DVD setup.

This was my impression when I first joined, and apart from yourself, no other modded ML63 has come forward.
I called the dealer last week, and after my original calling issue was resolved, he asked the question:
Question: How are you enjoying the car?
My reply: I'd like another 50Hp
His response: Laughter
My response: Pause
Question: Was that a serious request?
My reply: Yep
I was then recited the 3 year warranty claim.
My reply: But don't you represent AMG, and should you not be able to warrant any modifications you make in house?...this WAS the case with my other two vehicles!
My point being that 3 years is a long time to wait for someone with an immagination, I wonder how many others fit into this category? And could this be the reason for low activity?

Hi Kent,
No hard feelings felt on the name calling.
ML 63 was chosen over a Porsce Cayenne Turbo and the Supercharged Range Rover. Just did the sit test, and general feel being in the car test. Specs looked pretty good on all of them, however I enjoyed being in the Merc. hands down!
Hardest descission was to go the black or silver. Wife won after a short on the spot dissagreement and we got the black. You know how the saying goes...'Happy Wife Happy Life' I'm just left with the task of keeping it clean, and I can't stand dirty vehicles...say no more.
This is my first Merc. vehicle.
You guessed correct regarding the DVD screens, with their heaphones on, the wife and I can listen to our favourite music...priceless on long trips!

I also bought my ML63 without driving it.
I had been in an E55 years ago and knew the 6.2 AMG was an awesome engine too.
Very happy with the car.
Looking to lower it soon too, Renntech ELM looks good as you can turn it off and have the suspension stock height (good for the wife)

When i bought mine there was none for test drive and i told dealer i wanted one and if ever there was in showroom let me know. He rang me one day and said we have one we are preparing for customer delivery. we went out the back and he started it up and i paid deposit on the spot. the sound alone was spine tingling! 9 month wait was longest time of my life. Test drove an ML500 just so i could get a feel for the ML car but it proved to be a very poor substitute!!!
