Leasing a 13 ML63
I have tried to get quotes to lease an ML63, but the numbers I am seeing just seem off the charts to me. I am coming out of my 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged lease. Only paid minimum out of pocket (mostly deposit and bank charges) and am only paying $1,267 per month.
Without even trying to negotiate, my local BMW dealer quoted me $4000 out of pocket and $1330 per month for a loaded X5M
But I have gotten two quotes for in-stock ML63's (a 12 and a 13) for $8000 out of pocket (put taxes in inception) and over $1700 per month.
I have seen '12 E63's leasing out at $1,200 per month with not much up front.
Is the residual on the ML63 so poor that the least cost is so high, or am I just talking to the wrong dealers?

Making it easier for me to just buy my 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged with 23k miles for the $37k buyout at the end of my lease. Blue book puts it at $51k, and I have a year left on the factory warranty. As much as I would love to replace it with an ML63, I just can't justify it at the costs I am seeing.
Heck - BMW dealer keeps trying to get me into a 2013 X5M for $1300 and $4k out of pocket. ML63 lease program is just not good. Too bad.

Lucky you - I can't get anything under $1700 with $7500 out of pocket.

You need MSRP, residual (calculated against MSRP, even if you are paying less through discount), $ down/trade and interest factor (which is nothing but a decimal, that when multiplied by 2400, will give you the interest rate).
Then you will see if you are getting a fair deal, and/or how the dealer is making all of his money.
