I am looking at a 2011 ML 63 that is an otherwise very good condition the driver seat has a split on the horizontal portion about 6 inches long in the perforated leather for the active ventilated portion has separated I'm wondering if anybody's ever had this problem and how easy it is to fix

If the car is in otherwise good condition look for a black seat on EBay. It may be much less aggravation than trying to repair a 6 inch split in the seat that may have impacted the active ventilation portion of the seat. If you are going to undertake the operation make sure the seat ventilation is not damaged. If it is it may not be worth the repair.
