Won't go in drive
Occasionally in the morning my car won't go in drive, reverse, or neutral. Car is stuck in park. Have to turn the car off and on multiple times for it to finally go into drive or reverse. Anyone else experience this?
Thanks! Car info: 2013 ML63 Race iQ tune One step colder plugs OBDII lowering module |
Check your main battery. When they get weak the voltage drop during cranking confuses the ISM. (shift actuator)

ive experienced this

Check the battery in the rear. Mine was in the passenger side rear panel across from the subwoofer

Ok, that could make sense as it usually happens in the morning after sitting for a while.

Yes happen on my old ml. Def the battery issue.

It’s the 2nd little 12v battery in the rear. The first symptom of it dying is the car not shifting out of park. Very common issue.

I tested my aux battery today it read 12.5 v with the car off and 14.5 v with it on. However my main battery shows 12.5 v while off and drops to 10v while crancking and goes back up to 14.5 with the car on.. Please any help is much appreciated. |
