YES! and...that is one thing I GREATLY miss in my Bluetooth/OEM "upgrade"...
I have given SERIOUS thought to NOT selling this and adding this old OEM phone as a stand-alone VZW line for this car...I would then forward calls to my actual cell to this "car number" automatically thru VZW...welcome to 1988 "car phone"...sheesh.
That is also why I kept the linear compensator and antenna installed...
But...it is here FOR SALE...

Apparently when you have the UHI rather than MHI (i.e. Euro) you can read SMS with bluetooth. Haven't confirmed since I have MHI... But yes reading SMS on COMAND would be awesome.

Yes...I too have MHI
Option code 388 is UHI = European / ROW spec integrating phone kit
Option code 389 is MHI = US / Canadian spec integrating phone kit
