Vibration at 45
Has anyone felt a vibration at 45? Well not really a vibration you can fell but a pulsing pressure in your ears. Hard to describe. Only happens at about 45.

Is the sunroof open and the side windows closed? I ask because our Volvo XC70 is unbearable from 20mph to 30mph with the sunroof open and the side windows closed. I have to crack open the side windows to disrupt the horrible drumming in my ears. Probably unrelated to your problem.

Sorry to hear about the noise issue with your ML, KD. Greg, thanks for the link to the other forum.
Can I ask when yours was built? Has MB fixed this issue or even acknowledged that it exists?
And just to clarify, when you hit speeds over ~45mph, does the noise go eventually go away or is that just when it starts?

If i had to guess, and that's all it is, is I would say its a drive line resonance vibration. Funny thing is it didn't happen until they did a transmission reprogram at 1500. At least I didn't notice it till after that. I took the dealer for a ride and demonstrated it to them after they said they can't duplicate it. It seems now they acknowledge it and tried to fix it but didn't test drive it after to see if the fix worked.

Mine was built on 12/12/11. The dealer did a road force balance on the wheels/tires. It did not correct the problem. To clarify, there is no noise associated with it, it is just a pulsating sensation on your ear drums. Sort of like if one window is open at speed. And it only happens at about 45. Doesn't happen before 45 and goes away after 45.
