Need help with brakes!

Okay so I totally screwed up the brake job on my 2014 ML350 4MATIC. So long story short i accidentally extended the electric parking brake with the caliper off and it extended all the way out and threw an error message. I fixed the parking brake issue and completed the pad replacement, but I can't complete the other side because of the error message won't let me retract the parking brake. I also got air into the system and have the bleed the brakes. So, with that said can I disconnect the battery and reset the code or do I have to toe to a shop?

Found the fix

okay well after several days I got zero replies, oh well I may as well let anyone know in case it happens to them. So I bled the brakes and drove around the block. When I parked the car I applied the parking brake and it reset the parking brake into its original position and the code reset. From there it was just a matter of putting the parking brake back into service mode and finished the last wheel. The brakes now feel as good as new.
