I'm new to this forum need some help. I have a ML 350 which I purchased new it now has 15K miles. The vehicle randomly shuts off it does not have eco system. The vehicle has been to the Dealer 4 times and the have updated software since they can't replicate the problem and no codes in the system. The last time was this last week while driving on cruise control at 70Mph it down shifted on its own and began to shake and after I applied the brake and stepped on the gas and observed the rpm s not moving above 2000 very dangerous situation. I have contacted MB USA and they had a executive specialist contact me to see what resolution they can find. Has anyone experienced the same problem with the vehicle?

I may be way off base however I believe there are ECU log files that can be accessed to help in fault definition!

I don't know what they did at the dealer with the exception that the shop foreman drove the vehicle home with the computer hooked ip to the car to see if the problem could be replicated. I read numerous threads which i found on this forum that this kind of problem is quite common.. Mercedes-Benz only fix seems to be software update. Which works for a short time. 70k for a car that i can't drive due to it's dangerous condition. Im totally disabled and I have a mechanical heart implant while i wait on the heart transplant list so I cant take the risk.

Yea I know the run down, I have a metal aortic valve myself. If I were you I would sell the car to help pay for the heart transplant.


Other than that I would be watchful of all the spammers, high schoolers and middle school kids that come on an post solutions that are pure HS---software updates---are you serious!!
