transmission slip

My 2014 ML350's transmission slipped a few times today while doing a regular pass on a highway. I was doing a 100kph pass when the truck's transmission slipped when it went down from 7th gear to 5th/6th while vehicle momentary losing power while shaking violently. There was a rig behind me which good thing the truck found the gears and gave power back. After a few seconds of WTF moments I have a yellow engine or transmission light....oh great.

Here is the video:

I guess it is still safe to drive the truck but since it is a long weekend it will need to wait till a few days before I can bring her in to the dealer to get checked. What do you guys think?

If I were you, I'd take a look under the truck, around the trans pan to see if there is any leak.

I took the car back at the dealer and they scanned for errors and did not find anything. Then another guy waiting overheard our conversation and he said he had the same thing happened to his ML350 when doing a pass at highway speeds and had the same check engine light on then disappeared after a day and same thing no errors was found on the car. I have a feeling this might be a transmission software glitch that if you have the right timing and speed then you step on the gas the transmission gets confused then over revs and then the limiter kicks in. Does anyone had a tranny software update done on your ride?

This is a little concerning. I have a 2013 and have not had any transmission updates done that I'm aware of. Almost 60k miles and no issues here.
